The discipline aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the essence, principles, and mechanisms of the insurance market. The course covers the economic nature of insurance, its role in the modern financial system, organizational forms, and types of insurance services. Special attention is given to methods of risk assessment, procedures for concluding and fulfilling insurance contracts, as well as the regulation of insurance activities in Ukraine and according to international standards.

Studying the discipline ensures an understanding of the place of insurance within the financial system, and develops practical skills in analyzing insurance products, assessing risks, and making managerial decisions in the field of insurance.
